The City of Duquesne is approximately 13 miles southeast of downtown Pittsburgh, PA and covers an area of 1.88 square miles.  Duquesne was incorporated as a borough on September 12, 1891 and as a third-class city on January 7, 1918.

The City is PROUD OF OUR HERITAGE...CONFIDENT OF OUR FUTURE.  In past years our City housed the famous Duquesne Steel works of the Carnegie Steel Corporation later to become United States Steel Corporation.
